Day 11: All good things must come to an end

The 2nd of January was everyone's last day of vacation.  We walked downtown and along the river to get in some last minute sights.  Here are some pics.

Mom & I along the river in front of the business district (CBD).

The big buildings of the CBD.

Curtis & I at Boat Quay (pronounced key).

Stop for lunch.

A carve out with greenery on one of the high rises. Mom was very impressed with all the plants and trees on the buildings.

Clarke Quay is one hot spot at night with lots of expats.

One of the things to do there is the bungee something-or-other. We did not partake.  I do not plan to ;).

During the day at Clark Quay, it's pretty quiet.  At night, the restaurants/bars open up with a bunch of outdoor seating under the canopy.  Yep, all that steel tubing is holding up a giant roof over this little intersection area and the side roads.

Then it was time for some final packing and head to the airport for a midnight flight home for them and sleep for me as I had work the next day.  It was a really fun trip for me and I think Mom & Curtis had a really good time too.  Although it sounded like jet lag on the way home was quite a bit worse.
I am ready for my next set of visitors :).  Sounds like there could be a couple over the summer.
